15 July 2020
International Amsterdam Medical Summer Course
Due to the covid-19 outbreak, this programme for 2020 has been cancelled.
Patients, doctors, pharmaceutical companies, scientists and politics are all involved in the world of rare/orphan diseases. This summer school will grant the participants valuable insight in the roles of all these stakeholders and empower them to fully understand their role as physician to patients suffering from rare diseases and to implement the lessons learned at home.
What makes us unique? This summer school will not offer the (para)medical student a long list of rare diseases to study but will combine traditional lectures with team based learning to challenge the student to train in patient contact by introducing them personally to patients with inspiring stories. Participants will work close with and receive personal tips from experts in the field.

Become inspired together with medical students from all parts of the world. Develop skills that students aren't taught in classical curricula and get in touch with facets of the daily life of a doctor for which you will not be prepared in your regular studies. I AM Summer School offers it's students an important step to becoming a 'complecte doctor'.
