Sustainable Energy Technology Summer School
This Summer School introduces into the mathematical and physical basics of building energy performance modeling and simulation, implementation of models using computer-based numerical methods, computer algebra systems and object-oriented modeling language Modelica.
The Institute of Energy Efficiency and Sustainable Building (E3D), and the E.ON Energy Research Center - Institute for Energy Efficient Buildings and Indoor Climate of the RWTH Aachen University and the Institute of Energy and Climate Research Fundamental Electrochemistry (IEK-9) of the Research Centre Jülich are responsible for the academic content of the „Sustainable Energy Technology“ Summer School and conduct the program’s lectures, tutorials and laboratory classes.

You are a B.Sc./B.E. student enrolled at a renowned university, have profound knowledge of the English language and are studying mechanical engineering or a related field.
The minimum age to participate is 18 years. Students should have completed the first year of studies.
An English language proficiency test is recommended.
Since the program is taught in English you need to bring sufficient academic English language skills to be able to follow the course.

2, 3 or 4 ECTS credits according to the workload (about 60 hours / 2 weeks, about 90 hours / 3 weeks and about 120 hours / 4 weeks)

EUR 1990: The course fees include all lectures, laboratory courses and excursions, social events, accommodation, breakfast, lunch, all meals during social events and a public transport ticket for the respective time.
