The cardiovascular system takes a central role in life by connecting all our organs. This allows for maintenance of a healthy environment for all the cells that make up the tissues of the body. Disturbance of the cardiovascular system therefore can have severe health effects.

The course Cardiovascular Research digs into the cardiovascular system. Both physiology and pathophysiology of the cardiovascular system are discussed at a fundamental, translational, and clinical level. State of the art cardiovascular research is presented by expert researchers from the UMC Utrecht, related to the spearhead Circulatory Health.
