The International Business Summer School will help you to develop a critical understanding of issues facing organisations in an increasingly global environment in which they operate. The programme defines the scope of international business and differentiates between domestic operations and business in an international context.
You will challenge some of the underlying assumptions behind globalisation and focus on both the dominant economies, such as the EU, the US and Japan as well as emerging markets, such as Brazil, India and China.
World trade patterns and the functions of international institutions will be examined. Various business strategies employed by organisations to achieve their international objectives will be brought into the context of the global economic and political environment.
You should be enrolled on a relevant course at minimum Level 4 in your home country with an interest in, and basic knowledge of international business.
As the programme is delivered in English, you will require a good level of English speaking, reading and writing skills. You must also be aged 18 or above.
