Renewable Energy – Photovoltaic Systems:

The Participants become acquainted with the physical and technical aspects of energy generation with solar cells. They plan systems for grid connection and select the type of energy measurements. They assess profitability and efficiency by using simulation programs and put model systems into operation. The participants will plan photovoltaic electric energy supply. They dimension suitable components and select them according to cost effectiveness and durability. In addition the intergration of other ernergy generators in a stand- alone network is discussed.

Objectives:

Determine characteristics of solar cells by measurements
Distinguish between different types and designs of solar modules
Rate the performanceand efficiency of PV-Systems
Plan photovoltaic systems for grid connection
Professional use planning and simulation software
