IB Diploma Maths and Physics Revision Course

Physics Core Topics of measurements and uncertainties, mechanics, thermal physics, waves, electricity and magnetism, circular motion and gravitation, atomic, nuclear and particle physics and energy production. Additional Higher Level Topics of wave phenomenon, fields, electromagnetic induction, quantum and nuclear physics.

Mathematics Core Topics of algebra, functions and equations, circular functions and trigonometry, vectors, statistics and probability and calculus, and Higher Level Options.

The activity schedule for this 5 day programme will include the following components:
25 hrs: Tutor led Tuition
4 hrs: Exercises, Assessments and Past Papers
3 hrs: Exam Techniques: exam tips, efficient use of Formulae booklets, calculator Skills & Techniques, etc, as appropriate
4 hrs: set homework tasks
1 hr: Examination Feedback session
2 hrs: Individual Recommendations and Feedback Reports
6 hrs: evening recreational activities

Target group

This course is for IB Diploma students who are revising for their end of year 1 or 2 Maths and Physics exams.

Course aim

This Tutorial Revision Course is offered around a month or so before you embark on the preparations for your end-of-year or final external examinations. At this critical point in your studies, this “revision” course is designed to consolidate your learning to date, check on the effectiveness of your learning strategies, and of course to assist you with subject specific examination preparation and techniques. This Revision Course will use a bank of past and specimen papers, together with our own question and tasks databank and calculator technique exercises (as appropriate).
