This workshop is about design and yoga – and thus an experiment on creativity.
Yoga apparently is about “being” while design entails “making”. Yoga basically tries to reach us inside whereas design directs our energy towards something outside ourselves.
But design and yoga essentially follow the same principles of form and finding: they both aim for structure, rhythm and order. While design aims to develop forms that encompass ideas, yoga combines physical excercise with meditation and translates matter into patterns of energy.
The workshop will introduce and practice methods of product design and Kundalini Yoga, thus allowing participants to explore new ways of developing things, procedures and themselves.
On a material side our focus lies on food related objects – objects that we can use in order to harvest, prepare or serve vegetarian food. In the meantime, yoga’s spiritual and physical exercises broaden our experience and connect our energy beyond the usual limitations of body and soul.
Together, yoga and design shall reach beyond egocentric ambitions and search for truth and harmony within a universe of possibilities.
