Medical School Preparation

This medical summer school course is aimed at students 15-18 years old who would like to enter the medical profession and would like to spend the summer surrounded by like minded individuals. This summer course is for aspiring young doctors and will give you confidence and the knowledge in your application to medical school It will also give you an overview of topics covered in the 1st Year of Medical School. This Course is aimed at inspiring 15-18 year olds by placing them with world class doctor tutors and by inspiring them to learn and live in one of the top Medical School Colleges in the World (Cambridge is Currently 4th best and UCL University of London is currently 7th in the world by QS University ranking 2018). Students will join other young future doctors from all over the world and will make friends with them which will help to shape their future. Whether you are from UK, US, China, Russia or any Arabic State or any Country in the World this course will increase your confidence and knowledge in what being a doctor is all about and how to become a doctor.

Course aim

You will cover an introduction of topics during the pre-clinical phase of medical school, focusing on introduction to the fundamental aspects of the structure and function of the human body, and the basic mechanisms underlying disease.

You will learn concepts on:

organisation of the body
physiology and pharmacology
biochemistry and medical genetics
medical sociology
workshops on medical techniques such as suturing
patient and doctor course
