Occupational Safety and Health Policy Indicators

About

In a changing world of work, questions about the scope of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) monitoring and the most reliable OSH policy indicators are becoming increasingly important. Different expectations and changes in working life are major challenges that affect the ability of traditionally used OSH indicators to reflect the most important and relevant OSH issues and to evaluate OSH policy actions and their impact. Existing European and national OSH monitoring systems are still evolving to provide relevant data and useful OSH policy indicators.

Course leader

Central Institute for Labour Protection – National Research Institute (CIOP-PIB),

Target group

The workshop aims to bring together a group of senior researchers and others experts of the InGRID-related scientific community involved in OSH monitoring, policymakers and other stakeholders who are involved in OSH policy development.

Course aim

The aim of the expert workshop is to discuss the main conceptual and methodological issues related to OSH monitoring and OSH policy indicators, with a particular focus on indicators and sets of indicators proposed and used by various international, European and national bodies, and to consider the future needs for new OSH indicators.
