Are you leading a growing organisation or managing a team in a startup that is scaling up? Are you an aspiring leader with a genuine passion for entrepreneurship and intrapreneurship? Growing your business alongside your team is not always easy.
Scale-Up Leadership is a master's level course by Aalto University Summer School and Aalto Ventures Program that will equip you with the tools you need for leading your people and their organizational culture during fast-paced growth.
Scale-Up Leadership is an interactive and fast-paced graduate-level course (6 ECTS) focusing on leadership in the growth stage of an organisation. The course includes two intensive weeks on campus as well as pre- and post-assignments.
There are a lot of different challenges in the scaling-up phase of the new venture. Starting from how to simultaneously secure the cash flow and develop the product to hiring and retaining new employees, there are a lot of growth opportunities but also growth pains to consider while taking your business to the next level.
In this course we will consequently focus on addressing the domain of interaction and communication during the scale-up phase of a venture or enterprise: managing the growing team and leading the culture of the organization.

The minimum requirement for applying to the Scale-Up Leadership course is a finished bachelor's degree or relevant experience from a leadership position in a startup or scaleup company. Scale-Up Leadership is a master's level course, and students should have experience in business studies and/or entrepreneurship to keep up with the pace of the course.
We accept applications from practitioners, lifelong learners, exchange students and Aalto degree students.
To ensure the best possible learning environment and relevance, we use quotas for the admission of different types of learners:
