International Summer Academy "Sans Souci"

German language, history & culture:
Each year in August, the University of Potsdam welcomes international students with advanced German language skills to its International Summer Academy „Sans Souci“ (ISAS). Within almost four weeks, students immerse themselves in German language, modern German history and culture.

ISAS offers a unique blend of German language and applied phonetics, cultural and historical seminars and creative projects.

Target group

All international students with a minimum B2 German language level.

Course aim

Students...:

- use their speaking skills in communicative situations and improve their knowledge of the german language
- extend their vocabulary in different main topics and get technical language competence
- develop awareness for cultural perspectives, products and practices and gain intercultural experiences
- critically reflect on topics of German history and memory culture.
- deal artistically and creatively with selected focal points

Fee info

EUR 750: The program fee includes placement test, teaching material, city tours and excursions, welcome evening and certificate of completion).
