International Summer School on Alessandro Manzoni
The last academic research issues on the work of Alessandro Manzoni, one of the most important Italian and European poets and novelists, whose masterpiece, "I promessi sposi", set in the early 17th-Century Lombardy, is ranked among the most significant novels in literature worldwide. This year, on the 150° anniversary of his death, the summer school will take place in Milan, with visits to the famous "Manzonian places", source of inspiration for the novelist, who used to define them as "A Country that I would call one of the most beautiful in the world (Lecco, Lake of Como). An immersive learning experience characterized by debate and idea-sharing among lecturers and participants.
