Corporate Social Responsability (taught in ITALIAN)
Why this course? The market has understood long time ago that one of the elements of the capital gain of its products is the reputation of the brand towards the public. Understanding a reputation as a social commitment and respect for the environment both locally and globally. Today's consumers are increasingly aware and demanding, require transparency and traceability of the products they buy and use. Media and public events frequently put at the center of their discussions the role of this new "sensitivity" demonstrating the companies’ commitment to work both within their territories and in the Southern Hemisphere. Here arises the concept of Corporate Social Responsibility – CSR, or the ability of integration and ethical concerns within the strategic vision of a company. The State on the other hand has lost in recent years the financial capacity to act autonomously in responding to the needs of its territory and the southern hemisphere’s. From the 80s onwards has slowly dismantled the welfare state by giving the private sector the care management of the territory and of international cooperation by giving public funds to private entities such as associations and NGOs. The recent economic and financial crisis, and the consequent need to reduce public spending have led funding for International Cooperation at historical lows. Therefore, the Community and the social forces within it, which were organized for the management of services in its territory and in the global South, have experienced in recent decades a significant reduction in public funding by developing the need to address the market to make up for this lack of resources. More recently we are seeing different way of interaction of the three subjects that until now were working separately and with only punctual "utilitarian and functional" collaborations to the objectives of those who proposed them. Therefore it goes beyond the CSR catalyzing the processes of triangular collaboration and synergies between State, Community and Market, entering in the fields of Social Innovation, Social Business and Corporate Social Innovation. Finally, arises the need for a broader and more global vision of the subsidiaries triangulations between the parties both in the North and in the South, and of their interaction promoted also through partnerships between counterparts where Northern businesses support Southern firms, the Northern civil society supports the Southern civil society and the Northern State supports the Southern one. In fact, many of the problems present in the south are the effects of the behavior of the civil society, of the businesses and of the states of the North, and only a global collaboration and synergy that we will call Global Social Innovation may truly fix the imbalances and the contradictions between those who create problems and those who should solve them.

The course is intended for the local authorities, the officials dealing with international cooperation and social projects in the area, interested in collaborating with the other two sectors and to introduce in their workplace the issue of CSR and its methodological variants; non-profit organizations that deal with Social Planning and International Cooperation who wish to deal with the enterprises as sponsors or co-design new paths of cooperation with businesses and the public sector; finally, businesses, people who work or want to work in CSR and want to interact with the non-profit sector and the public sector for the development of ethically correct activities of their brand
Educational objective: The course aims to provide an overview of the different types of innovative collaboration between State, Community and Market and promotes the formation of a modern, innovative and multi-functional role, which is a figure that can operate in one of three areas (State, Community and Market ) and who has the skills, the knowledge and the means to interact strategically among different sectors.
