The 2nd edition of the FRESCO Summer School will address a wide array of innovative interdisciplinary research tools used in coastal foraminiferal studies. The summer school offers a combination of theoretical and practical sessions and a field excursion.

The topics covered focus on foraminiferal biology, ecology and the biogeochemical functioning of coastal environments.

The course is intended for students/researchers interested in Living benthic foraminifera in coastal environments.

Course aim

The main goal of this edition is to familiarize the participants with multidisciplinary experimental and field-based tools to better understand the role of benthic foraminifera in biogeochemical cycles in highly complex natural systems such as coastal environments.
