**For ages 16-17**

This course is designed for students considering undergraduate study in Politics and related subjects. Students will be introduced to core aspects of studying Politics at this level and examine specific political challenges, such as the role and power of international organisations in responding to current global issues. King’s central location ensures students also benefit from a number of course activities and excursions designed to broaden their understanding of today’s political landscape.

This course will consist of a minimum of 40 contact hours with teaching taking place from Monday to Friday.

Target group

The King's College London Pre-University Summer School is a unique academic and social experience designed for high school students who are enrolled in their final two years of study (typically 16 and 17 years old).

Course aim

By the end of the module, you should have:

experienced a variety of learning activities typical of a first year undergraduate degree in Politics
built on your existing knowledge of core topics covered in a first year undergraduate degree in Politics
carried out independent research on a given topic and produced a structured and well supported response to an assignment brief
worked collaboratively in diverse groups to produce a presentation

Scholarships

We are offering 10 tuition fee scholarships for students wishing to study on our 2018 Pre-University Summer School. These scholarships will cover the tuition fee of £1,800 and the deadline to apply is 1 April 2018.
