About

This module offered by Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi within the JASSY Summer School aims at initiating trainees in Human Resources Management main topics providing them specific insights regarding the new way of doing HR within the recent workplace environment requirements (dominated by digital transformation, globalization, shifting employees’). As BANI (Brittle, Anxious, Nonlinear, and Incomprehensible) seems to be the new lens through which the world is explained, in order to understand the fragile, fractured and unpredictable world we now live in, it is the HR responsibility to help organizations encompass the workplace challenges.
The PPP module targets key themes to prepare HR professionals for the future of work, focusing on agility, technology, human-centered decisions, and performance. The below 5 themes will be addressed during the onsite 6-days summer school (1 online meeting will take place before the onsite activities):
Day 1. Working in diverse teams – focus on benefits and challenges of working in diverse teams and also on strategies that encourage participation, leverage diverse perspectives that drive common goals achievements.
Day 2. Future-Ready Recruitment: Linking Hiring to Organizational Outcomes - address the modern recruitment practices that use AI-powered tools, virtual assessments, and video interviews to streamline hiring processes. A focus on soft skills like communication, adaptability, and emotional intelligence that ensures candidates align with organizational culture and goals will be also emphasized.
Days 3, 4. Agile Performance Management and Reward Systems – focus on agile performance management that promotes continuous feedback, managing real-time goal adjustments, flexible rewards and fostering employee growth. Designing workplaces in which employee engagement and wellbeing is considered will be another focus.
Day 4. Talent Development for Digital and Soft Skills – the importance of upskilling and reskilling in digital and analytical competencies alongside soft skills like resilience and emotional intelligence. Learning innovations such as micro-learning, gamification, and simulation-based training foster skill acquisition will be also addressed.
Day 5. Employer Branding in the Digital Age - create authentic brands using social media and digital platforms, showcasing organization’s values and culture through virtual hiring and recruitment marketing campaigns, debating how corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainability initiatives can enhance employer attractiveness
Day 6. Multicultural teams' presentations – presenting case study solutions
By taking up this course, you will gain valuable knowledge about the new role of HR in modern organizations. Upon completion, you will be aware of the factors affecting the HR strategy and how the main HR processes are changing within the current workplace settings.
