This course offers an illuminating journey through the major philosophical currents that have shaped Western thought. From the revolutionary ideas of the Enlightenment to the reflective wisdom of Stoicism, from Heidegger’s challenge to traditional metaphysics to debates on the role of science in describing and shaping our world, students will explore the ideas that continue to influence our understanding of society, knowledge, and human experience.
