About

The Digital Medical Devices Summer School is a pioneering intensive program designed to train the next generation of healthcare innovators and stakeholders in the rapidly evolving field of digital medical devices (DMDs).
As technology transforms healthcare, understand and navigate the challenges across the entire lifecycle of a DMD —from identifying unmet clinical needs to development, market adoption, and patient use—is crucial for future professionals that will soon take on key roles either at the frontline as healthcare providers or behind the scenes as care managers, health technology assessment (HTA) experts, policy and regulation officials, designers, developers, and patient advocates.
The summer school aims to develop openness, preparedness, and sensitivity towards DMD’s capability and increasing role in health, thereby facilitating a change in the attitude of diverse stakeholders from the very start as students or young professionals.

Target group

Students and young professionals interested in learning about digital medical devices and is committed to completing the programme, that comes from a discipline such as medicine, life sciences, engineering, social sciences, data science, economics, etc and has pursued or is pursuing university or equivalent studies – Bachelor, Master, PhD, early career postdoctoral/professionals

Course aim

Through this immersive experience, participants gain a comprehensive understanding of the “DMD world” — its role in addressing clinical needs, its potential in enhancing patient care, and the digital health landscape in the EU.
