About

STEP INTO CLINICAL PRACTICE WITH INTENSIVE HANDS-ON SIMULATION TRAINING
The Medical School of Université Paris Cité (UPCité) presents an immersive 2-week long summer program designed to build core clinical skills through simulation-based learning and bedside teaching. Learn the principles of physical examination and emergency procedures across specialties, in a small-group and high-impact environment.

BENEFIT FROM THE CLINICAL EXPERTISE OF UNIVERSITE PARIS CITE AND THE PARISIAN TEACHING HOSPITALS NETWORK (ASSISTANCE-PUBLIQUE HOPITAUX DE PARIS - AP-HP)
This summer school is led by organ-specific clinical experts and includes supervised bedside training in university hospital wards, offering participants direct patient contact to consolidate knowledge in real-world settings, as well as simulation-based training.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

• Module 1: Foundations of Clinical Medicine
Develop core skills in physical examination and clinical reasoning across multiple specialties including cardiology, gastroenterology, ophtalmology, urology and gynecology. Practice essential procedures such as suturing, casting, lumbar puncture, intubation and more. Hands-on workshops are complemented by supervised hospital placements in small groups during two half days, in one of the teaching hospitals of Université Paris Cité Medical School metwork.

• Module 2: Emergency Care Procedures
Gain experience in managing urgent scenarios such as hemorrhage control, unexpected deliveries, cardiac arrest, and airway obstruction. Simulation-based training will prepare participants to respond effectively in critical situations. This module also includes certified training in Basic Life Support (BLS), allowing participants to obtain the official BLS certification designed for healthcare professionals (AFGSU - level 2) upon completion. Students will learn to identify and manage life-threatening emergenecies, alons and as part of a team, as well as identify, alert and help implement protective measures in the face of collective risks.
