In todayβs global workforce, the ability to manage and leverage diversity is a key driver of innovation, collaboration, and organizational success. This course, Diversity in the Workplace: a managerial perspective, introduces students to the theory and practice of diversity management and inclusive leadership.
We explore how issues of gender, race, age, disability, and LGBTQIA+ identities shape organizations, and why inclusion is central to effective management. Students will engage with questions such as: What is the business case for diversity? How do leaders create inclusive teams? And how can organizations turn differences into strengths?
The course combines levers at both the individual and organizational levels that can contribute to the development of professionals, as well as to the creation of environments in which differences are incorporated into their practices so that everyone can thrive.
