The European Summer Course 2026 "Resilience, Sustainability and Challenging Global Crisis – Exploring Law, Policy and Governance" will take place from 13 July - 22 Juy 2026 at the Europäische Akademie Otzenhausen.

The Summer Course deals with a broad range of important political, legal and economic developments of today’s European Union and is organized by the Europa-Institut in cooperation with the European Academy Otzenhausen, the ASKO Europa-Stiftung and the trans-European higher education alliance Transform4Europe and includes visits to Strasbourg, Trier & Schengen! Moreover, the last three days of the course will take place at Saarland University Campus.

This year's summer course will deal with:

EU Integration, Institutions & Decision-Making
Global Crises & International Public Law
Economic Security, Raw Materials & Strategic Resilience
Sovereignty and EU Responses

Target group

Young, active and open-minded people (esp. Bachelor-, Master- and PhD- students / young professionals) with a strong interest in the European Union and its current challenges are invited from all fields of study and from all over the world

Our aim is to offer an academically demanding and wide-ranging program and to enable participants to experience the atmosphere of an international seminar!
