Introduction to Wireless Sensor Networks and IoT Systems

About

This 20-hour course introduces students to the architecture, protocols, and practical implementation of Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) within modern Internet of Things (IoT) systems. Students learn sensing principles, wireless communication technologies, protocols, data modelling, and the challenges of resource-constrained distributed systems. Through hands-on exercises, participants will deploy physical sensor nodes, analyze measurement data, design a small IoT monitoring application, and understand integration with cloud/edge platforms. The course is a blend of theory and team-based prototyping
