About

QUTE Summer School 2026 is a 5-day international summer school focused on the rapidly evolving field of quantum technologies, taking place from 24–28 August 2026 at the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics of Comenius University in Bratislava. Organized by QUTE.sk in collaboration with the Institute of Physics of the Slovak Academy of Sciences and FH Technikum Wien, the programme brings together students, young researchers, and experts from physics, mathematics, computer science, and related disciplines. Participants will explore topics such as quantum computing, quantum cryptography, and quantum electronics through lectures, interactive sessions, and hands-on projects led by leading scientists and industry experts.

- Undergraduate and graduate students (Bachelor’s and Master’s level)
- PhD candidates and young researchers
- Teachers and future teachers of physics, mathematics, and computer science
- Professionals interested in quantum technologies and related fields

No prior background in quantum physics required. Open to everyone interested in modern quantum technologies and their applications
Participants are typically expected to be 18 years or older.

- Introduce participants to the fundamentals and current developments in quantum technologies
- Provide insight into topics such as quantum computing, quantum communication, quantum cryptography, and quantum electronics
- Connect students, researchers, teachers, and professionals from different disciplines and countries
- Support the development of interdisciplinary knowledge and collaboration
- Create opportunities for networking with leading researchers and industry experts
- Promote interest in natural sciences, mathematics, computer science, and emerging technologies
- Support the transfer of contemporary scientific topics into education through activities for teachers and future teachers

Fee info

The participation fee covers lunches and the conference dinner. Accommodation, travel costs, and other personal expenses are not included and must be arranged individually.
