Through the leadership of Mr. Riccardo Illy, revolutionary entrepreneur that transformed coffee from a commodity to a gourmet experience, the participants of this program will enjoy an Italian exploration of companies engineered to disrupt industries through quality.

Achieved milestones like productive systems designed to enhance exceptional raw materials instead of standardized defective ones, alongside the open challenge of marketing and distributing products while reinventing them, make this course an unprecedented exposure to Italian high-end manufacturing at its best.

Course aim

A fully-immersive learning experience in Italy, a unique entrepreneurial journey where international thought and business leaders mentor multidisciplinary teams of international students to inspire the innovation of Italian industries and its most iconic brands.

Participants to this course will receive the mentorship of professors like Stewart Thornhill (University of Michigan, Ross School of Business) and Debra Dunn (Stanford d.school), as well as Italian entrepreneurs and forward-thinking business leaders.

Jake Knapp (author, The Sprint Book and IDEO Fellow), Design Director for the 2018 Italia Innovation Programs, will lead a 5-day Sprint Workshop for the closing week.

Italia Innovation does not directly provide credits but partners with the students' home Universities that do.

Fee info

EUR 5000: The Tuition Fee amounts to 5.000 Euros. This does not include round-trip flight to Italy, accommodation and meals. It does include local transportation for the days of the program activities.
