Musical Theatre - Beginners

when 16 July 2012 - 21 July 2012
duration 1 week
fee GBP 495

This intensive short course is dedicated to the development of foundation skills in a fun yet practical way. The beginners summer school is designed for those with little or no experience in musical theatre but looking to gain technical skills in all aspects of performance. Students will be introduced to the basics of musicality, singing, dancing and acting technique.

As the week progresses students will be encouraged to integrate these core disciplines through workshops in acting through song, character development, dance and movement, singing and stylistic choice.

The week will culminate in an informal sharing of work created during the summer to an invited audience of friends and family. This will give students the opportunity to put into performance practice the developmental work that has taken place within the classroom during the summer school week.
