Discover Grenoble international smart engineering (Ginsen) summer school, a 5-week long Bachelor-level summer programme fully taught in English!

At the heart of the French Alps, you will study within Grenoble INP Institute of engineering Univ. Grenoble Alpes, an internationally-recognised institution and have the chance to work in cutting-edge research facilities, while enjoying summer surrounded by gorgeous mountains and with Europe at your doorstep.

Ginsen is a perfect combination between academic courses, lab practicals in cutting-edge facilities and a full social programme including French language and culture classes, visits to major scientific equipments, and social events such as hikes, wine and cheese-tasting class and trips to neighbour cities: a nice way to spend your summer while learning!

Target group

Ginsen summer school is tailored for students at bachelor-level.

To enroll in Ginsen summer school, you must:

- Have completed at least 2 years of Bachelor degree (post high-school graduation) in science or engineering, meaning you can be in your third or final year of Bachelor, or your first year of masters degree.
- Be at least 18
- Live in a country that allows you to come study in France

Nanotechnology option is open to students in Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Applied Physics, Telecommunication, Material Science, Electrical Engineering.

Smart energy option is open to students in IT or Energy

To acquire the ECTS credits, you must follow all classes and succeed in the summer school (success determined by your results and the academic approval of the scientific committee)

Fee info

EUR 1700: Reduced fee is for student nominated by partner universities. Fee include Lectures, Practicals sessions, accommodation in Grenoble, one private room per student, Medical insurance, covering medical expenses and bills for the entire duration of the summer programme, Civil liability, Administrative registration fees, Visits of scientific equipments, Planned extracurricular activities.
