Summer School of Civil Law 2019
For the 11th consecutive year, the Foundation for Continental Law organizes the Summer School of Civil Law in Paris, from the 1st to the 19th of July 2019 at the University Panthéon-Assas (Paris II.)
This program is divided into three streams which are English, French and Spanish and is open to anyone who has completed a minimum of three years of legal studies (students and legal professionals) .The program allows its participants to deepen their knowledge in continental law.
The program offers different courses given by eminent law professors and practitioners with different fields of expertise and different backgrounds.
The participants will have one mandatory course:
• The Civil Law Systems in a comparative perspective
And they’ll have to choose 3 additional courses out of the 5 available:
• European and international contract law
• Intellectual property
• Digital Law – Protection of personal data
• The Constitutional Courts
• Settlement of international dispute
The Civil Law Initiative is particularly attached to the international dimension of this event, which makes it a marketplace and crossroad of ideas, legal cultures and knowledge that creates privileged moments of gathering and debate.
Our Summer School of Civil Law is led by Professor Michel Grimaldi, who teaches at the prestigious University Paris II - Panthéon Assas.
Law graduate students and law professionals are warmly invited to apply.
The Summer School of Civil offers the opportunity to learn more on continental law, its evolution and its influence on legal and economic structures.
The course also offers plenty of opportunities to network with fellow students and practitioners from around the world. Finally, you’ll be able to spend 3 weeks in Paris.
Pursuant to an optional final examination, participants will be awarded a certificate of training in Civil Law by the University Panthéon-Assas (Paris II).
EUR 600: The fees include training courses, conferences, cultural visits and cocktails.
EUR 1500: The fees include accommodation (from the 30th of June until the 21st of July), training courses, conferences, visits and cocktails.
Scholarships may, exceptionally, be granted upon specific and justified request.
