The eseia International Summer School 2019 focuses on a novel approach to Smart Energy System integration and utilisation of non-conventional biomass. The two-week programme in Zagreb combines lectures, workshops, group tasks and supervised group work with consultations, presentation of ideas with lecturers feedback, final presentations, site visits, and networking events.

Course leader

The eseia summer School 2019 is hosted by the University of Zagreb, the largest Croatian university. The responsible person for the organisation is Prof. Goran Krajačić from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture.

Target group

The eseia ISS is aimed at international master and Ph.D. students and young postdoc researchers, practitioners and professionals from the industry or public sector.

Course aim

Students will tackle topics such as the integration of products and processes based on non-conventional bio-resources into buildings and smart cities, identification of optimal bio-fuel integration into sustainable mobility systems, as well as policy and economic instruments for planning and mobilising non-conventional resources.

Fee info

EUR 200: The eseia ISS fee is 200 EUR + VAT (25%) covering the course materials, lunches, site visits and excursion. Other costs are in the responsibility of the participants.
