A complete Training Program for students who want to learn the full process of Handmaking of Sneakers shoes including elements of design and branding and a deep focus on practice.

A focus will be given on shoes customization by learning the technique of deconstruction and the craft of traditional shoemaking to reconstruct your own custom sneaker.

This course is provided by Schola, the Craftsmanship Academy in Florence. This course is provided in collaboration with Stefano Bemer, one of the most renowned Bespoke Shoes brands in the world.

The program consists of 110 hours split between specific modules and supervised project completion in the workshop.

Course leader

Main instructor is Matteo Caparrini, a skilled shoemaker who will impart both their theoretical and practical abilities as well as their real world experience as a shoemaker.

Target group

No previous experience is required.

Students should be motivated and focused on working in the field of hand-made shoemaking and be prepared to dedicate study and work time over and above the classroom.

Course aim

This is an complete Training Program which enable students to create their own handmade sneakers shoes, brand and market them in the real market.

Four, intense weeks during which students will learn how to design and make a pair of handmade sneakers from scratch and how to deconstruct, regenerate and customize an existing one.

Fee info

EUR 3000: Fees include: all class works, lessons, use of laboratories, taxes and insurance.

Not included: accommodation and meals, airfare, airport transfer and meals, particular
equipping requested, wooden last and material for personal projects.

Pre-enrollment necessary with a deposit of 1200€.
