The Future of Education: Student-Centred Classroom is a summer course of the university program, which aims to critically analyze the innovative learning environment by using the criteria of the best practices and research. ILET & Schooling Group members will share findings and experiences about the creation and facilitation of such a learning environment. We show different effective didactical solutions from Finland, Scotland, Canada, and Belgium.
This is a very good opportunity to meet teachers-researchers from Finland, Sweden, Switzerland, Italy, and Nigeria.
This course is designed as a Student-Centred Classroom. 4 EC.

The summer program is divided into three Modules:
Module A: Educational Approaches behind the Student-Centred Classroom.
This module includes Social Cognitive, Information-Processing, Cognitive Constructivist and Social Constructivist Approaches to learning.
Workshop discussion and sharing the fundings and experiences with researchers.

Module B: Interdisciplinary Learning and Teaching
This module includes an explanation of the interdisciplinary as an approach to education, interdisciplinary curriculum design.
Workshop discussion and practice on the planning of interdisciplinary learning topics.

Module C: The Art of Teaching Student-Centred Classroom
This module includes different practical solutions such as hands-on activities.

In addition to “class” activities, we will explore surroundings and visit interesting places in the summer school area.

The course is designed for advanced BA students and MA/Ph.D. students or teachers training students, primary and secondary teachers.

Fee info

EUR 865: Program fee includes tuition fee, study material, social activities, full board, 2 coffee breaks during the day, accommodation in a double standard room, and Airport-Hotel-Airport transfer.
EUR 570: Program fee without accommodation.
