We are pleased to announce the current call for applications for the Danube School "Turning point" 19-21.12.2019 in Ruse, Bulgaria. The Danube School Ruse 2019 is a part of the Danube School Network and is the 5th event in 2019: Spring School took place in Novi Sad, Serbia in April 2019, Summer School was in Budapest, Hungary in July 2019, Danube School in Germany - in October 2019.

About:
The Danube School Series is a short term study program for graduate and postgraduate students and young professionals, who are interested in the development of the Danube Region. It is organised by the European Danube Academy in cooperation with several Universities of the Danube Region (University of Tuebingen, HNU Neu-Ulm, University of Novi Sad, Andrassy University of Budapest and University of Ruse). About 20 participants meet to discuss with academics and policy makers current challenges and opportunities along the Danube and the wider EU region.

Focus of Danube School Ruse 2019:
The theme of the Danube School Ruse 2019 is "Turning point: Danube Region Commemorates 20 Years of Stability Pact for South Eastern Europe". The program includes sessions with renown lecturers and policy makers as well as workshops of international teams on initiation of project ideas regarding the development of the Danube region.

20 participants, aged 18-30 years, from all Danube region countries and Western Balkans.

Requirements for participation:
· Strong interest in the development of the Danube region.
· Basic knowledge of the European Union Strategy for the Danube Region
· 18-30 years old
· Graduate, and post-graduate students and young professionals
· English language learning and communication skills

Course aim

Results and outcomes of the Danube School Series 2019 will be published. Participants and lecturers have the opportunity to publish results of the project work, own research results and scientific texts. Please, add the information about your current research project or ideas about your publication text in your application form.
