Effective communication is key for high performing professionals. But many students do not learn advanced communication skills during their studies. Two experienced professionals teach you the most valuable skills they learned themselves over the past 15 years. This course takes you beyond the ‘basics’. You will amongst others learn the highlights from principle-based negotiation, empathic communication, critical analysis, influencing group dynamics and inspirational speaking. If you want to bring your communication skills to the next level and work on your personal development, then this course is here for you!

Overview of modules:

Week 1

The mirror – bringing your communication skills to the test; where do you stand?
The vibe – inspirational speaking and learning to motivate an audience
The source – developing your personal compass; who are you and what do you stand for?
The argument – critical analysis, investigating what’s true, what’s right and what’s valuable
The contest – learning how to deal with disagreements in a team using negotiation skills

Week 2

The group – understanding group dynamics and your role in teams
The connection – non-violent communication; ideas, theory and background
The peace – applying non-violent communication in real life
The deep-dive – covering deep personal topics you will get an opportunity to practice your skills in conversations that matter.
The jump – bringing it all together
