Building Information Modeling (BIM) for Engineers

Core of BIM philosophy and implications on civil engineering. Designing a concrete structure using BIM approach in 3D (shopping mall, or similar structure). Formwork plan production, associative to real 3D model, labeling and detailing. Generating formwork drawings from 3D model, scale 1:50, 1:20 (floorplans, sections). Preparing printable sheets, self populating title blocs, associative links to 3D model. Rendering of the structure and communicating 3D to other participants. Preparing views and sections for reinforcement design. 3D reinforcement design using real 3D model, mesh reinforcement, bar reinforcement, detailing. Reinforcement placing using Form Finding automatic reinforcement. BIM collaboration with other disciplines, exporting and importing BIM models from other designers (Architects, HVAC). PDF based collaboration and workflow tracking.

Fee info

EUR 300: To apply for Split Summer School 2024 please contact us at summerschool@gradst.hr. Registrations will be open until 8th of July.

After submitting your registration, you will hear from our coordinators confirmation of your registration. Upon your payment, you will receive an admission letter which confirms your enrollment. Split Summer School holds the rights not to offer courses where the final number of applicants is fewer than 10. In that case, applicants will be informed and offered to change their course to alternate one. Since our capacities are limited, the admission list is ordered by reception time. The final class schedule will be announced after the 18th of August, which is the deadline for payment.
