Kickstart User Studies in Augmented Reality
The course will provide the attendee with the basic knowledge for carrying out scientific research in the fields of Augmented Reality. The course will start by giving the fundamentals of the know-how regarding the development of AR applications, including the use of Virtual Reality engines such as Unity 3D and SDK tracking libraries such as Vuforia.
Then it will be focused on the correct approach for the definition of the Research Question together with practical lab activities. In the following students will attend theoretical and practical lectures dealing with the implementation of an AR experimental testbed.
Then they attend lectures regarding data collection methods and their application with the developed testbed.
The course will also teach how to carry out data analysis in order to obtain scientific evidence from them. In the remaining days, we will teach you presentation skills and you will apply them on your own research project that you will present in the last day.
