This module explores a wide range of essential business concepts and principles, encompassing strategy, marketing, entrepreneurship, innovation, organisation and more, with topics chosen in order to best prepare you for a successful international career in business or management. Essential theories and concepts will be illustrated with case studies in order to show you how to put learning into practice and successfully deal with modern business dilemmas.

This module is delivered by King’s Business School, one of the UK’s most dynamic and prestigious business schools in the UK. Our location in London will help connect you to the world’s most important financial hub and the businesses that flourish there.

Target group

The King's College London Undergraduate Summer School is open to students who are currently, or have been, enrolled in an undergraduate degree programme. We also welcome applications from professionals who have substantial relevant experience in their chosen subject area.

Course aim

By the end of the module, you should have:

Demonstrated your knowledge of the principles and concepts of doing business in an international market context.
Utilised a range of analytical techniques to evaluate business operations in an international context.
Analysed and evaluated different international approaches to entrepreneurship and the entrepreneurial mindset.
Worked effectively in a cross-cultural team to present a case study analysis of a business operating in an international market context.

Credits info

Classes can often be taken for credit towards degrees at other institutions, and are examined to university standards. To receive credit for King's summer classes, contact your home institution to ask them to award external credit. This class is equivalent to an undergraduate degree module and usually awarded 3-4 US credits or 7.5 ECTS.

Fee info

GBP 2240: Also a one off application fee of £60
EUR 1200: This module can be taken as a residential programme. The residential module fee is £3440. Students on the residential programme can check into accommodation on the day prior to the start date (Sunday) and will check out on the day after the course ends (Saturday).
