We are pleased to announce that we are hosting the 5th edition of our Summer School “Sexual & Reproductive Health & Rights”, taking place from 3-14 July 2022, here in Ghent!

Our educational program covers topics such as family planning, gender, abortion, LGBT, STDs, sexual violence and many more. Lectures will be given in English by renowned teachers of Ghent University as well as prominent professors of international institutions.

Not only is this a great opportunity to discover and learn more about these exciting subjects, it's also the ideal occasion to meet new people from different cultures and backgrounds.

The Summer School Team

Course leader

Summer School 'Sexual & Reproductive Health & Rights' is a project at Ghent University, organised by students in cooperation with the university itself.

Target group

The Summer School ‘Sexual & Reproductive Health & Rights’ is open for undergraduate or graduate students of the faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Psychology, Social and Political Sciences, Law, Linguistics and Philosophy.

This program is not meant to be a continuing educational program to specialize into this field, it’s more a chance to discuss and learn more about an insufficiently covered but highly relevant subject within our present society.

Sufficient knowledge of the English language in required.

Course aim

Goals:

- further close collaboration and encourage the intercultural discussion and exchange of information with respect to others beliefs and grounds

- promotion of an insufficiently covered but highly relevant subject within our present society

- emphasizing the internationally recognized Sustainable Development Goals

- training in multidisciplinary consideration of health

Credits info

Ghent University does not award credits to the participants of the Summer School. However, your own university might do so. Consult with your own institution for more information on this matter. Also, you get a ‘certificate of completion’, which proves you attended the Summer School. It might help you obtain credits from your university.

Fee info

EUR 595: €595 before February 1st - Included in the price are: educational and pre-organized social activities, accommodation and 3 meals a day.

All participants will be awarded a ‘certificate of completion’ at the end of the summerschool.
EUR 620: €625 if you apply after February 1st - Included in the price are: educational and pre-organized social activities, accommodation and 3 meals a day.

Scholarships

Unfortunately, we currently don't offer any scholarships, but if your university has a close collaboration with the University of Ghent (such as the U4 network, ANSER network...) they might offer you some sort of scholarship.
