English for Business and Management
This module prepares students to use English effectively in business and management contexts. Students develop their skills and understanding through a combination of lectures delivered by UCL School of Management staff and interactive business English language classes with experts in the field. The learning experience is further enriched with weekly excursions to cultural and business related places of interest in London. The module is suitable for all students planning to further their studies in business and/or management.

Target group
This is a level one module (equivalent to first year undergraduate). No prior subject knowledge is required to study this module but students are expected to have a keen interest in the subject area.
Course aim
Upon successful completion of this module, students will:
Explored a variety of topics related to Business and Management and explored and developed their knowledge of effective Business and Management practices
Developed their Business English language skills
Demonstrated effective communication in business presentations and reports
Explored the use of appropriate register and style to for different channels of communication
Visited a variety of cultural and business-related places of interest
