iENGAGE
online courseThe Wellcome-Wolfson Institute for Experimental Medicine, Queen’s University Belfast, is launching a new online summer student research programme for 2023- iENGAGE.
By joining iENGAGE you will have the opportunity to develop your scientific skills with world-class scientists at the WWIEM working on:
Immunology and Microbes
Respiratory Medicine
Vision and Vascular Medicine.
You will participate in:
Seminars and journal clubs focused on weekly topics
Professional and career development roundtables with a diverse range of panellists
Data analysis, scientific writing and project design
End-of-week thematic networking and social events.
You will gain training with video tutorials on the many cutting-edge technologies present at the WWIEM (e.g. stem cell biology, single-cell sequencing, CyTOF mass cytometry and 3D organoid models of disease).
You will receive an official certificate and a participation gift when completing the programme.

iENGAGE is aimed at undergraduate students in the areas of Biomedical, Medical, Health and Life Sciences degrees. Students from around the world are welcome to apply.
Course aim
The aim of iENGAGE is to provide high-level insight and experience into world-class research ongoing in WWIEM at Queen’s University, as well as technical training in a range of cutting-edge experimental techniques and additional progressional skills.

GBP 100: High income country.
GBP 50: Middle income country.
Scholarships
Student from low income countries are eligible to enrol in iENGAGE for free.
