During the course the student practices to conduct the structured data search processes and uses literature critique. The student collects information about evidence-based practice in nursing and clinical guidelines in nursing. The student practices to connect the research results to the practice and learn to find evidence-based answers to the practical questions from the field of nursing.

Course aim

After the course the student is able to define a basic study question in the health science and perform a structured data search. The student understands the ground of good scientific practice and the meaning of evidence based on health care. The student knows the clinical guidelines based on health care and identifies scientitific and professional information soruces in his/her field and can search for information systematically.

EUR 315: Course fee for students external to Tampere University and Tampere University of Applied Sciences.
EUR 0: Courses are free of charge to degree students and exchange students (academic year 2021-2022) of Tampere University and Tampere University of Applied Sciences.
