The Sustainable Development Academy allows participants to engage critically and effectively with the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Students will learn about the scope of the 17 sustainability goals and the status quo of their implementation. As a group, students will put their knowledge into practice while working on case studies and modeling creative solutions beneficial to their local communities.
Potsdam, a city of science close to Berlin, is home to leading research institutions in the fields of climate research and sustainability. To gain insight into the work of experts and practitioners, participants will have the chance to attend two site visits to local institutions.

Target group

The program addresses students from all disciplines who are interested in sustainability and related topics.

Course aim

The overall goal of the program is to enable participants to adopt creative approaches to achieving sustainability goals in their communities.

Fee info

EUR 850: €850 including tuition for on-site courses, course materials, field trips and extra-curricular activities.
EUR 765: €765: early-bird fee for applications received before 1 April 2021.
