Hand-engraving on jewels
Preparation of the tools, various kinds of burin, with explanations on their use
Anchoring of the items on supports for engraving, spindles, vices, the use of sealing wax
Various varnishes for the bases of the surfaces to be engraved, silk-finishing and granites
Engraving on leaves, Florentine-style vein modelling
Target group
For access to the jewellery engraving course it is necessary to have attended at least one course on plate engraving, or in any case have basic skills in engraving.
Course aim
This course includes exercises on semi-finished casted pieces (rings, pendants, bracelets), in silver, which will allow you to learn a difficult and refined art, able to transform a simple object into a small work of art.
