Are you interested in how different countries work together on international political level? This course is designed for students who are interested in a closer examination of specific political challenges, such as the role and power of international organisations in responding to current global issues. King’s central location and proximity to Westminster places you on the doorstep of centres of power and policy making. You will benefit from a range of course activities and excursions designed to broaden your understanding of today’s political landscape.

Target group

The King's College London Pre-University Summer School is open to high-achieving students who are about to start or who are enrolled in their final two years of high school, and are typically aged 16 and 17. Students must be aged 16 as of 1 September 2022.

Course aim

By the end of the module, you should have:

experienced a variety of learning activities typical of a first-year undergraduate degree in International Relations
built on your existing knowledge of core topics covered in a first-year undergraduate degree in International Relations
carried out independent research on a given topic and produced a structured and well supported response to an assignment brief
worked collaboratively in diverse groups to produce a presentation

GBP 0: Our Pre-University Summer School is designed as residential experience, with students living in King’s College London accommodation throughout the course. Students on the residential programme can check into accommodation on the day prior to the start date (Sunday) and will check out on the final day (Friday).
