Introduction to Machine Learning with R and Rstudio
Machine learning is a collection of techniques to classify large amounts of data and uncover hidden patterns in data. This course will focus on traditional machine learning techniques and newer techniques.

This course is intended for students and early career academics who already have experience with statistics in social sciences who want to extent their knowledge of machine learning techniques, specifically advanced bachelor students, master students, PhD candidates, post-docs, early career academics. It is especially suitable for people that have to analyse large quantities of data.
Course aim
After this course you will be able to:
- Decide which application of machine learning is best for a given research problem.
- Understand the limitations of different approaches to machine learning.
- Perform machine learning on a given data set.

EUR 500: The fee includes the registration fees, course materials, access to library and IT facilities, coffee/tea, lunch, and a number of social activities.
