The course is open for everyone interested in learning Estonian. Former participants have included people with Estonian roots, entrepreneurs connected to Estonia through their work, or simply eager language enthusiasts. There is no age limit to joining and students usually make up about half of the participants, meaning there is truly a mix of different people. Estonian language courses combined with engaging after-class cultural activities.

There are five different levels to choose from:
I. Estonian for beginners, level 0-A1
II. Estonian for advanced beginners, level A1
III. Estonian elementary course, level A2
IV. Estonian for the intermediate level, B1
V. Estonian for the upper-intermediate level, B2

More information regarding the topics and grammar tackled on each level is available on our homepage. All levels share a tailor-made cultural programme, which includes museum visits, workshops, watching Estonian films, and much more.

Course leader

All teachers are skilled experts in Estonian language and culture and have a lot of experience in teaching to an audience of varied cultural backgrounds.

Course aim

The aim of the course is to develop learners' language skills (to enhance vocabulary and knowledge of grammar, develop reading, writing, listening and conversation skills) and introduce aspects of Estonian culture.

Each level is worth 4.5 ECTS and corresponds to 54 academic hours of language lessons.

EUR 540: The fee covers:
- language classes (54 academic hours)
- coffee-breaks, welcome and farewell events
- all scheduled after-class activities from Mon-Fri
- certificates
