On the Road With Literature Through Almería

This course seeks to improve your Spanish skills while immersing yourself in our history, culture and literature. In order to do so, you will enjoy from 5 different literary routes, which are (1) Al Mutasim Route, (2) Juan Goytisolo Route, (3) Federico García Lorca Route, (4) Celia Viñas Route, and (5) Carlos Pérez Siquier Route. All these authors and artists are of important relevance in Spain, especially in Almeria, where they left their humanist mark. Target group

Undergraduated, and master students.

Course aim

1. To collaborate in the development and improvement of communicative skills in all their dimensions (linguistic, sociolinguistic and pragmatic).

2. To pay especial attention to literary competence (closely related to reading).

3. To encourage a reflective or critical attitude on different aspects of the Spanish language and culture, specifically in relation to Almeria.

4. To encourage students' sensitivity and creativity.

EUR 1: Price for accommodation in a shared-double room: € 1,500
