Applications are now open for the 7th edition Copenhagen Architecture Festival’s Film & Architecture Summer School, which will be dedicated to inclusive and non-discriminatory design solutions in the built environment.
About the summer school
In 2022, for the seventh consecutive year, we will be holding a Film & Architecture Summer School, which this year has inclusive and non-discriminatory design solutions as its overarching theme.
Over the course of nine days, participants will learn about the Leave No One Behind agenda Over the course of nine days, participants will learn about the Leave No One Behind agenda in relation to design, architecture and urban planning through lectures, exercises and inspirational discussions, applying this knowledge to create their own film.
Working on an idea developed during the first sessions, the course will explore the process of filmmaking focusing on learning-by-doing. Participants will gain concrete knowledge about organizing, filming and editing your work, as well as creating a relevant, dramaturgically well-functioning story, and be guided by professionals in the production of a max. 3-minute-long film documenting inclusive and non-discriminatory design solutions in their immediate environment.
All the film produced will participate in the global short film competition Film Mosaic: Leave No One Behind and be featured on the project's online platform, where all the films competing will be available as an open-access resource. The best film will be selected and screened during Copenhagen Architecture Festival x 2023 and at the UIA 2023 CPH World Congress: Sustainable Futures - Leave No One Behind.

Target group
The course is open to anyone interested in the intersection of film and architecture - students and professionals alike, with a background in a relevant field of film and/or architecture. Participants are expected to have a basic knowledge of film production
