Religion Among Children and Youth: Learning by Doing
Pastors and youth workers in churches, teachers in Christian education, faithful parents: all try in their own way and from their own responsibility to support children and young people in their faith development. They do this from the awareness that there is something to learn: faith develops, individually and in community, and upbringing, education and child and youth work supports that development. But what is the relationship between faith and learning? This summer colloquium will reflect on this question from recent practical theological research.
Dr. Ronelle Sonnenberg is assistant professor of Practical Theology/ Youth Ministry at the Protestantse Theologische Universiteit, Amsterdam.
Prof. Dr. Jos de Kock is professor of Practical Theology at the Evangelische Theologische Faculteit, Leuven.
Our Summer Colloquium is compulsory for ETF Open University students open to interested people with academic qualifications and can serve as additional in-service training for pastors, teachers, and other ministry professionals.
