Hands-on Machine Learning with a Special Focus on Anomaly Detection

when 5 July 2022 - 5 July 2022
language English
fee EUR 200

This conference will be a one-day crash course combined with experiential learning with the Machine Learning masters to put theoretical concepts into practice in a hands-on manner. We will also see several real-world use cases focused on Anomaly Detection. This course is designed for business innovators, industry practitioners, as well as students, seeking a quick, practical, and hands-on introduction to Machine Learning to solve business problems. The content presented will serve as a good introduction to the kind of work that students can expect if they enroll in advanced Machine Learning and AI Masters.

Course leader

Thomas G. Dietterich, Ph.D., Emeritus Professor of computer science at Oregon State University and Co-Founder and Chief Scientist at BigML. He is one of the pioneers of the field of Machine Learning and co-founded the Journal of Machine Learning Research.

Target group

Business innovators, industry practitioners, as well as students, seeking a quick, practical, and hands-on introduction to Machine Learning to solve business problems.

Course aim

Learning the basis of Machine Learning and seeing how the theoretical concepts can be applied to the real world by witnessing how several companies are benefiting from ML techniques, mostly Anomaly Detection. Attendees will be able to practice the concepts learned in a hands-on manner with workshops that will take place in the afternoon.

Credits info

We will provide certificates of attendance and students can discuss with their universities whether they can validate those teaching hours with credits. This should be possible as students from previous editions were able to do it.
