Raw earth is undoubtedly the oldest and most widespread building material in the world. Constructions made of earth, can be found in any corner of the planet given the accessibility and ductility of the material. Mortars, plasters, floors, load-bearing walls, compressed blocks, are all achievable with the same material although presenting different characteristics depending on the area in which the structures are built. The advantages offered by raw earth are innumerable and all respond to the same common denominator: sustainability. The buildings in raw earth, as well as the construction processes, reflect the harmonious relationship between man and nature that over time has been gradually breaking down.
