Atlante. Mapping and Stories of the Uzzone Valley
The Uzzone Valley is a territory rich in places, stories to tell, nature trails, people, architecture, anecdotes and great stories. A pattern of hidden symbols. An itinerary within the itinerary. To travel within a place and what composes it, it would always take a map to show us all the levels of reading of that territory, an Atlas exploits the richness of the language of geography, which is at the same time cartographic, graphic, textual, statistical, iconic, while promoting innovative forms of interaction between languages, representing both material and immaterial elements.
Ilaria Bossa is the Art Director and Founder of MONO, Alice Lotti is a graphic designer and illustrator and Laboratorio Zanna Dura, the studio of the couple of serigraphs and illustrators Eugenio Nittolo and André Tognan.
The workshop is open to students, graduates and young professionals. It is preferable that participants attend or have attended a degree course in Architecture, Design, Visual Communication and Art Academies or an equivalent organization or academic institution whose work is related to the world of graphics / design / architecture. Design and create a geo-graphic atlas made up of signs, architectures, stories, paths of the territory that belongs to us, but using a new way of mapping places, applying and developing a graphic and architectural system, through new means that go beyond of the simple map but become a visual kit to decipher a territory in a completely different way from the usual canons, using different, innovative and fun methods of design, research and implementation.
